Kitchen: Coastal Maine Magnificence

Kicking off this series on our project in Kittery, Maine, today we’re focused on the kitchen.

Featured Stone: Calacatta Nuvo Caesarstone

Applications: Kitchen perimeter, full height backsplash, island/breakfast bar

Soaked in natural light and decorated in part by the glimmering backdrop of the ocean through the windows, the residents opted to keep things light and airy to maintain emphasis on the view, but still wanted a bit of movement to catch the eye.

Using Calacatta Nuvo Caesarstone quartz, we created a perimeter countertop and full height backsplash with seamlessly matched veins climbing up the wall, using open shelving to give the stone a chance to shine. A hole was cut above the garbage receptacle, and drain grooves were added alongside the sink. The island extends into a breakfast bar, ensuring ample space for everyone to gather.
